ASPCA Spay It Forward + Grant

ASPCA Spay It Forward+ is a grant-funded assistance program designed to help income‑qualified families access essential spay and neuter care for their pets. This program is supported by a limited ASPCA grant, combined with Minn‑Kota PAAWS’ Spay It Forward funds and a required client copay.

⚠️ Funding is limited and available only while grant funds remain. Once funds are exhausted, this program will end and assistance will revert to standard Spay It Forward availability.

ASPCA Spay It Forward+ is a shared‑cost program (not free care). Each approved surgery is covered by:

• A required client copay
• Spay It Forward assistance
• ASPCA grant funding

This structure helps us stretch limited funds to serve as many pets and families as possible.

ASPCA Spay It Forward+ appointments include the essential services needed for a safe and complete surgery:

• Spay or neuter surgery
• Basic vaccines (per clinic protocol)
• Pain medications associated with surgery
• E‑collar (cone) for dogs

Additional services are not included and are not able to be purchased under this grant‑funded program. These limits ensure fairness, grant compliance, and the greatest community impact.

Applicants must:

• Meet program income guidelines
• Apply and receive approval before scheduling surgery
• Have an eligible cat or dog
• Apply while ASPCA grant funding remains available

Approval is based on eligibility and funding availability at the time of review.

Applications are reviewed daily Monday–Thursday while funding remains. Due to limited funds, not all applicants may be approved.

To participate in ASPCA Spay It Forward+, all clients must complete the ASPCA Spay It Forward+ application, even if they have recently filled out a regular Spay It Forward grant application.

1. Complete the ASPCA Spay It Forward+ application
2. Submit required income documentation
3. Await approval and assistance details
4. Schedule surgery if approved and funding is available
