The Day Before Your Pet's Appointment

  • Your pet should not have access to food after 10pm the night before their scheduled surgery.
  • Water is ok and does not need to be restricted.
  • If your pet is under 5 mo. old they may have access to food until 6am the day of surgery.

Arriving at the clinic

CATS

Check in for cats is from 7:30am to 8:00am.

  • Your cat must arrive in a carrier.  If you do not have a carrier, you can purchase a cardboard carrier at PAAWS for $8.
  • It is mandatory that ALL cats be contained in a carrier -- no cats will be transferred in/out of the building without one.

DOGS

Check in for dogs is from 7:30am to 8:00am.

  • Please leave your dog in your vehicle while you come inside the clinic lobby to complete pre-surgical paperwork.
  • When entering the building, ALL dogs must be on a leash or in a pet carrier.
  • If you do not have a leash please let us know prior to bringing your dog into the building.  We can lend you a leash to lead your pet safely from your car to the clinic.

Minn-Kota PAAWS is located at 1517 32d Ave S Fargo, ND 58103

What do I need to bring?

If your pet has had vaccinations, we will need to see proof from the veterinarian's office.  Please have these with you as we are generally not able to call for records the day of surgery.  If you do not have copies of records you can ask your vet to email them to us: contact@minnkotapaaws.org

*** If you adopted a pet from a shelter or rescue, please bring any paperwork you received from them, so we know which vaccinations we need to administer.

Adding on Services

You are welcome to add on any additional services when you are filling out your pet's intake paperwork.

If you have questions about any of the services, please ask as our staff is happy to help. Any services add the day of surgery must be paid for when you pick up your pet.

We accept cash, credit, debit or Scratchpay.

Checks are not accepted.

Going Home

We will text you when your pet is out of surgery to provide post-operative instructions.

Pets can be picked up any time between 3:30 and 4:45pm, come anytime in that window that works for you.

If your pet is not picked up by 5pm your pet will stay overnight and a $50 boarding fee will be charged.
