The Day of Surgery

What You Need To Know:

Arrival:  Please arrive one time for your appointment.  All pets need to be checked in for surgery by 9:30 am.  If you are late, we may need to reschedule your appointment.  Plan to be at the clinic for 15-20 minutes to complete the check-in process for your pet.

What do I need to bring?  If your pet has had vaccinations, we will need to see proof from the veterinarian's office.  Please have these with you as we are generally not able to call for records the day of surgery.  If you adopted a pet from a shelter or rescue, please bring any paperwork you received so we know which vaccinations we need to administer.

If you are bringing a cat:  Bring your cat in a carrier.  If you need to borrow a carrier please let us know before bringing your cat into the clinic. Cardboard pet carriers are available for purchase for $5.

If you are bringing a dog:  Dogs must be on a leash or in a pet carrier.  If you do not have a leash please let us know prior to bringing your dog into the building.  We can borrow you a leash to lead your pet safely from your car to the clinic.

Payment:  Services can be paid for at the time of drop off or pick up.  We accept cash, credit, or debit cards. Checks are not accepted.

Going Home:  Your pet's surgery is a same day surgery. Because of differences in the length of surgery and recovery time we will not be able to tell you exactly when your pet will be able to go home.  Generally speaking, pets are ready to go home between 3 pm and 5 pm.  We will call you with an approximate time your pet will be ready to go.
